The classic Australian biscuit

 1 cup Rolled Oats
 1 cup Flour
  cup Brown Sugar/Vollrohrzucker
  cup Desiccated Coconut
 125 g Butter, chopped
 2 tbsp Golden Syrup
 ½ tsp Bicarb Soda
 2 tbsp Boiling Water

oven 160C / Gas Mark 2.5-3

Combine oats, flour, sugar and coconut

Place butter and golden syrup in a saucepan on medium heat until butter has melted

Combine bi-carb soda and water in a glass, and then add to butter/syrup mix (it should froth/bubble)

Stir butter mix into oat mix, roll into balls. Bake for 10-12 minutes until just golden
